Fall Slam: 14U, 16U and 18U Wrap Up!

We want to thank you for your participation in the Fall Slam.

What a great day at the ball field today! We got to enjoy some sun, beautiful weather, a TON of talent, and some really great games. Congratulations to all teams, I hope you enjoyed your day at the Fall Slam as much as I did!

We also want to take this time to remind you about our indoor tournaments, which offer great competition.  You can check out the details of each event, and when you click on "register", it will take you to the TourneyMachine page where you can also see a list of teams registered.  

If you haven't played in the winter with us before, we run games on a strict time schedule. Games start and stop on the horn, except for the championship game in each division, which is "finish the inning".  

The Valentine's 50 is our signature event. We'll have 100 teams, playing 24 hours a day, using 2 domes (about 1 minute from each other).  The older kids play the overnight hours with the younger teams playing much more normal hours.  It's a great event with fantastic competition.  We hope to see you there.

FALL SLAM - FIRST PITCH

 Coaches,

First some good news.. the trophy shop pulled a miracle and got someone else to come in an and finish our awards!  So we will have awards for the weekend!  

Just a couple of last minute reminders...  

• You can turn in your roster & insurance tomorrow, OR you can email those forms to tournaments@nwoladyirish.com. 
• There is a 30 minute break between the final round of pool play and the final round.  
• Please make sure you submit your scores immediately following each game.  I know you'll be prepping for the next game, but having scores will help us prepare for the final round in a timely manner.

FALL SLAM TROPHIES / SHIRTS

 Coaches,

I just found out that unfortunately the trophies/awards will NOT be ready in time for this weekend.  Due to an unexpected illness at the facility that makes our awards, they are behind.  Hopefully, the person who makes the awards will be back next week and she'll complete the trophies promptly.  I'll deliver and/or ship the awards as soon as they are ready.  

I'll try to have some "stand-in" awards for the championship ceremony and pictures, I'll just have to recover those and use for each presentation.  

My sincere apologies for this.  I don't think it's ever happened at one of our tournaments before, so I can't be upset with the situation or the performance of the company that does the awards, nor illness.  But I'm certainly disappointed.  

Tournament shirts that were pre-ordered will be ready for pick up at the tournament HQ.  We will have a few extra shirts for sale at the tournament HQ as well.
